Entertainment

in all its glory

Francis Barel is a writer, a screenwriter, a poet, a payments expert, and a father and husband. He has written for Forbes, What Culture, and has published English and French novels, and collections of short stories and poems.
He was born in France, but was raised on a healthy mix of French and American culture.
From American superheroes to Victor Hugo's epic novels, he is inspired by every form of entertainment and “genres”. But whatever the story, he strives to create great characters that entertain and connect: ordinary people finding themselves in extraordinary situations, who then rise up to the challenge to become extraordinary.
For the past 20 years, Francis has touched different genres in his novels, short stories and movie scripts: action adventure; romantic comedy; thrillers; science fiction. But all of his writings are full of "high concept" and great moments, and show love and concern for human emotions and characters.
His novels, short stories and movie scripts strive for great stories, fun characters with a great sense of humor, and most of all a captivating adventure. His poems incorporate classic themes, yet strive for a modern feel.
